The New Jersey Integrated Population Health Data (iPHD) offers a unique opportunity for us to investigate the impacts of obstetric unit closures on maternal and infant health-related outcomes in urban and suburban settings. The long panel of linked birth records and hospital billing data will enable us to measure healthcare utilization and health outcomes during pregnancy, labor and delivery, the postpartum period, and infancy.
